In the grand scale of life knowing Roger was all too short but our friendship and time with him was a real privilege. Those special occasions spent together will always remain with us. The memories are of a gentleman in every sense. Of course we knew he was not well but you would never know it, no complaints ever, he would carry on regardless in his 'matter of fact' manner. We could not be with him in his final months and in some ways this is a regret but in other ways we are left with only good memories. We will always cherish those memories of his hanging baskets, our lunches, our trip to the theatre, selling books at the WI fairs and many more. We loved his wit, his politics, his religion (or lack of it), his tales and we would exchange views on everything. We enjoyed his company and reminiscing of days gone by. Our thoughts are with Lisa and family at this time. Never forget you Roger RIP. Michael and Jacqui
